Access to Energy for All
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Exchange alumni working in renewable energy from 10 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa gathered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to discuss strategies to increase access to energy for marginalized communities. During the seminar, participants explored how energy independence is developing on the African continent; examined the role of regulatory agencies in national and regional policies that foster successful
decentralization of energy; and engaged in intra-regional alumni networking and collaboration to develop action plans to improve access to energy in their own communities.
