Strengthening Business and Trade for Women Entrepreneurs in Africa

June 25-29, 2019

Exchange alumni from 14 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, representing the fields of academia, business, journalism, and social entrepreneurship, convened in Accra, Ghana to discuss strategies on how to effectively support and expand women-led entrepreneurial ecosystems in their countries. Participants shared their personal stories and lessons learned, deliberating on several subtopics of entrepreneurship. Subtopics included how to build and maintain sustainable support systems for women entrepreneurs, how to create relevant and effective mentor/mentee relationships, how to mobilize small and medium-sized businesses across borders, and how to integrate digital platforms into existing business processes.
