Strengthening Democratic Insitutions in Public Management

Exchange alumni of the Mandela Washington Fellowship program, Young African Alumni Initiative (YALI) gathered in Nairobi, Kenya to discuss strategies for combatting corruption and promoting transparency in the public sector of 32 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. This seminar helped to increase YALI alumni level of engagement with U.S. Embassies, and fostered dialogues and project plans for increasing transparency in the public sector through regional community engagement projects.
